5 Points East Nashville

The Heart And Scene Of East Nashville

Five Points East Nashville

5 Points, an artsy, eclectic, vibrant scene in the center and heart of East Nashville, was named 5 points for the five-pointed intersections where woodland street, Clearview Avenue, and 11th st. meet. Five Points is home to a diverse population of young professionals, artists, tech gurus, business people, families, vegans, chefs, zero waste lifers, various creatives, and many thriving independent businesses.

Five Points is home to the Five Points Alley Shops, formerly known as the Idea Hatchery. At 5 Points Alley Shops, locals can shop for zero waste products at The Good Fill, have their aura photographed art Tertiary Sight, find an excellent used read at Defunct Books, or patron many other local small businesses. 5 Points Alley Shops are part of Center 615, a three-building campus offering co-working and office space, media production space, and event space.

Five Points is home to a thriving culinary scene. Diners can experience casual southern porch comfort while dining on creative American cuisine at The Treehouse or Internationally influenced southern fare at Lockland Table. Boston Commons boasts a selection of New England seafood, 5 Points Pizza is a local staple, and nearby Edley’s BBQ offers’ smokey deliciousness. Five Points is sure to have a restaurant you will love with a wide variety of independent restaurants, no matter your preferred cuisine.

The happy hour scene at 5 points is robust.  Housed in a beautiful antique home is Van Goah Wine Bar, where guests can comfortably visit with friends in the sitting room or on the back patio while sampling delicious food. Down the Street from Van Gogh Wine Bar, from Thursday- Sunday, visitors can enjoy happy hour until 8 in a bar that’s indoors, outdoors, and nestled in a historic home at Rosemary & The Beauty Queen. Just as strong as the happy hour scene in 5 points is the brunch scene. On weekends locals can enjoy brunch at Rosemary & The beauty Queen, Shep’s Delicatessen, The Treehouse, Noble’s Kitchen & Beer Hall, and many more.

Five Points has a vibrant nightlife; 3 Crow Bar, Red Door, Beyond the Edge, and Drifters are all popular spots for locals to get a little rowdy. The Lipstick Lounge lies just beyond 5 points and is one of Nashville’s most popular spots for karaoke, trivia, dancing, and live music. Live music fans can enjoy The 5 Spot and The Basement East for local live music. At Up-Down Arcade Bar, guests can take in the 80s and 90s nostalgia and sip adult beverages while playing arcade games.

Every year some of Nashville’s finest artists gather at 5 points to honor the tomato at the famous Tomato Art Festival. This 2-day festival is free to attend and attracts people from all over to enjoy themed art, local music, costumes, food, contests, shopping, and so much more.

While 5 points is primarily a commercial district, it is surrounded by historic craftsman-style homes, Victorian homes, new construction, and condos. Homes near 5 points start around $550,000. Five Points is a wonderful place to call home with an active, creative, and vibrant community.
