Green Hills

Often called a city within a city, Green Hills is a highly desirable neighborhood 15 minutes south of downtown on Hillsboro Pike. Green Hills has many larger homes with yards, mature trees, and a slightly suburban feel, along with many condominium communities. Green Hills is home to the famous bluebird café, a 90 seat acoustic venue nestled in a strip shopping mall where songwriters perform their original compositions. The Blue Bird Cafe opened in 1998 and garnered national attention when featured on ABC’s hit show Nashville.

Green Hills is also home to The Green Hills Mall. The Green Hills Mall is home to various upscale retail including; Nordstrom, Dillard’s, Tiffany’s, Louis Vuitton, and a Restoration Hardware that houses a gourmet restaurant around its beautiful furnishings and courtyard. 

Green Hills is home to Fox’s Doughnut Den. Opening at 5 am daily, Fox’s Doughnut Den turns out gourmet doughnuts and kolaches that have made Fox’s a local landmark since 1973.

Green Hills is home to various dining options, from Char steak house to North Italia to True food kitchen. Green Hills is also home to Kroger, Whole Foods, and Trader Joe's grocery stores. Whatever your culinary preference Green Hills has a variety of dining for you.

The Green House is a local watering hole inside an actual Green House in Green Hills. During the winter months, locals gather for happy hour and fresh air; visitors sip cocktails on their two large garden patios during the summer. Sports bar fans need to look no further than The Crow’s Nest, where guests can sip on beers and watch the game on the large two-level deck.

Green Hills is a haven for fitness enthusiasts. Middle Tennessee is home to uniquely special YMCA gyms. These state-of-the-art facilities offer; child care, group fitness, indoor and outdoor pools, basketball gyms, youth classes, and a large variety of equipment.
